We’re so fortunate to host this exceptional chamber music concert from Baltimore Symphony Orchestra players on Sunday, Dec 1 at 3:00 pm. Percussionist Brian Prechtl has written musical settings of several of Walt Whitman’s poems in recognition of the 200th anniversary of the birth of this beloved American poet. Brian, along with Colin Sorgi, viola; Darius Skoraczewski, cello and Michael Sheppard, piano, will perform “A Child Said – What is Grass?” with WBJC’s Judith Krummeck as narrator, along with other classical selections by Brahms, Dvorak, Chopin and others.
The free will offering benefits the Musicians of the Baltimore Symphony LTD, which helps the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra players during times of lockouts, strikes and negotiations. We welcome all to attend and enjoy!
