The youth of Grace meet for Sunday School class on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. All youth, grades 6th and up, are invited. Class includes a pancake breakfast, followed by a lesson. Lessons are developed using scripture, Methodist history and tradition, as well as current events, as we seek to nurture faith of young Christian disciples.
Youth Choir rehearses Sundays after the 10:00 am service in the Choir Room, lower level, with Robert Cantrell, our professional baritone and instructor at the Baltimore School of the Arts. If you enjoy singing, please come! The group sings in services once a month as well as special services and concerts with the Chancel Choir.
The youth of Grace also gather outside of Sunday mornings to build friendship, serve the community, and to have fun. Activities include trips to Hershey Park, lock-ins, service days and mission trips. Confirmation at Grace typically happens in the 8th grade year and consists of a series of classes in the winter and spring.
The next Sunday evening Youth Fellowship is scheduled for Feb. 23, 5 – 7 pm with Carolyn Young. Food, games, conversation and inspiration for the week are just part of the plan!
The summer mission trip is June 21 – 26, in Harrisburg, PA. We are returning to last year’s mission site for another great week of assisting local neighborhood associations with small home repair, community beautification and cleanup programs, and visitation of senior care facilities. The cost for the week is $350. You may sign up today by contacting Rev. Amy.
