Grace Church has choirs for all age groups that provide music in worship throughout the entire year.
The Chancel Choir: Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:30 pm Rehearsals (September to May) The Chancel Choir is made up of youth and adults and serves as the principal musical leadership for the 10:00 a.m. worship experience at Grace. The choir also presents several concerts each season for the Grace community and the city of Baltimore including the Holiday Brass concert as well as Sunday afternoon concerts featuring major works with instruments. All are welcome and no audition is necessary.
Grace’s Soloists add a special dimension, individually and together, to the music at worship as well as concerts. The soloists are available to sing for weddings and funerals as well.
The Handbell Choir: Sundays, 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 pm Rehearsals The Handbell Choir is open to youth and adults and plays at Christmas and Easter. The choir is always looking for new members. All are welcome to join; some music reading experience is necessary.
The Youth Choir: Sundays, 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 pm Rehearsals (September to May) The Youth Choir, grades 7 through 12 is directed by Mr. Robert Cantrell. The choir sings several times throughout the year and often combines forces with the Chancel Choir in special services and concerts.
The Alleluia Choir: Sundays, 9:15 to 10:00 am Rehearsals (September to May) The Alleluia Choir, children in grades 2 through 6 is directed by Mairin Srygley. Under special circumstances, sixth graders may audition for the Youth Choir.
The Sunday School Choir: Sundays, 10 a.m. Rehearsals (During the School Year) The Sunday School Choir, offers a time of gathering for our Sunday School students, and is directed by Mairin Srygley.
